Class Descriptions

All levels

An all-levels practice is a class for everyone, including beginners! This class guides you through a series of postures that helps build strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, and mental focus. This class style consists of both standing and floor postures with ample modifications throughout, allowing you to work at your ability and comfort level. Class composition will vary from teacher to teacher.

Flow

A vinyasa based practice designed for the student that wants to be challenged. You will move through a strong and well-rounded practice that includes core conditioning, flexibility, balance, and movement. Taught with clear direction and options for taking it easy or practicing full expression of the poses. Every teacher brings unique offerings to this diverse class!

Barre

For this class we turn up the music and move! Barre is an energetic workout that fuses techniques from Yoga, Pilates and Ballet to tone and strengthen the entire body. There are always options to make the class more challenging or to add in more ease. Don't worry, no dance experience required! All levels welcome!

Flow & stretch

This practice is all about balance. The first section of class is a challenging flow linking breath with movement followed by an extended floor series to truly and fully relax your body. This practice is perfect for anyone who wants to bring more freedom and flexibility to their hips, pelvis, hamstrings, and spine.

Gentle

Practice gentle asana sequences to calm your mind and open and strengthen your body. You can expect a gentle, playful approach with attention to right action more than form. A great practice for those new to yoga or fast paced yogis who want to keep a healthy and well-balanced yoga practice.

Full Body Fitness

Community Class

$10 donation-based class (or use your membership). Sweat and support a good cause! This practice is suitable for all levels. We love to offer accessible classes to our community at large. It’s a great class to start with and try out if you are new to hot yoga.

Pilates

Pilates (pronounced puh-lah-teez and not pie-lates) is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. With systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, Pilates has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavour, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.

Power flow

This is an ever changing practice designed to synchronize your breath with warming flow sequences. Power Flow offers a variety of adjustments for poses, allowing yogis of all levels to challenge their practice.

Yin

A slow moving, more passive practice that stresses the deeper tissues of the body. Yin is both gentle, and yet a challenging practice. Poses are held for 3 – 5 minutes. More time in each posture gives way to restoring the body towards a natural state of softening and letting go. This class is all about ‘un-doing’ all of the ‘doing’ we do! Yin is also a great intro to meditation and a great way to practice the ability to find stillness in the body and mind. This style of practice is suitable for all levels and a great way to help become accustomed to being in a heated room.

Yoga body flow

Yoga Body Flow is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration, and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves, and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
